Soul Thief is the first book in the Angel of Death Series, and my current WIP. The first draft is done, but I’m still editing and rewriting it. This is a YA paranormal romance story featuring Angels.
Here’s the blurb:
When she wakes up at the scene of an accident and notices a strange girl trying to pull out a dying man’s soul, Riley thinks she’s suffering from a head trauma. However, when she finds the same girl roaming around the hospital, she realizes she may not have been dreaming after all. When the girl introduces herself as Diana, an Angel of Death, Riley’s world is about to be turned upside down.
As a halfling Angel of Death, Riley has to learn the basic skills each Angel of Death requires: she has to learn how to protect herself and her mind, how to bring souls to heaven and how to use her new-found powers. With the help of her guardian, Leander, she has to come to terms with the fact that she’s not the person she always thought she was.
But then, girls of Riley’s age start dying mysteriously. The problem is that these girl’s names aren’t on “the list”, the list of names of people soon to die. That means that, whoever is stealing these girl’s souls is either a Reaper, the demonic counterpart of an Angel of Death, or another Angel of Death…
Ghostslayer is the first book in the Ghostslayer trilogy. I’m working on the first draft. The current status of this book is 20k/80k words. Ghostslayer is an upper YA paranormal romance novel, featuring Kaelyn, a girl who slays ghosts for a living.
Here’s the blurb:
After dealing with the murderous ghost of Sylvia Stratford, Kaelyn is ready to retire for a while. She wants to settle down, go to college and live a normal life. Or well, as normal as it can get when you can see and talk to spirits and are living together with the ghost of your deceased Mom. However, Kaelyn’s life is about to take a turn for the worst when none other than Alex Miller shows up on her doorstep.
Alex Miller is the last person Kaelyn wanted to see. After they collaborated on a job gone wrong, Kaelyn has been running away from him. However, when he makes her an offer she can’t refuse, stating she’s the only one who can help him save a town in which people are mysteriously disappearing, she has no choice but to let him back into her life.
In Oaktown, a small, remote village, the population has diminished spectacularly during the last decade. People have vanished into thin air, sometimes even disappearing from closed rooms. Alex and Kaelyn aren’t the only hunters who’ve arrived in town. Several have gone before them, and all of them have gone missing. Whatever is haunting Oaktown, it’s powerful and deadly. And Kaelyn is its next target…
